The puzzle pieces represent TRUTH (some pieces are historical truths, some pieces are philosophical truths, some pieces are scientific truths, and some pieces are theological truths). The missing pieces in the Christian Worldview puzzle represent the mystery of God and His sovereign will that we will never fully understand while we are here on earth.

"God has put enough [information and evidence] in this world to make faith in Him a most reasonable thing, but He has left enough out to make it impossible to live by sheer reason alone."—Ravi Zacharias

So should we dismiss the obvious (the image made up of all the pieces of TRUTH that fit unequivocally with each other) for the sake of the mysterious? Absolutely not! But that is exactly what atheists do and want us to do in their charges against Christianity. They completely disregard all of the historical, philosophical, scientific, and existential (what we experience) evidence for the sake of the mysterious (age of the earth, dinosaurs, neanderthals, pain and suffering, the details of hell, etc.).

The compelling case that makes the Christian worldview not just a possibility, not just a probability, but common sense vs. the naturalist worldview is when you contrast the logical consistency/coherence within each worldview, and the discrepancies/contradictions within the two worldviews. There is an inverse correlation between the two worldviews.

When you investigate the naturalist worldview, any logic, unity, and coherence perceived is merely superficial and fleeting; the deeper one digs, the more discrepancies, inconsistencies, and sheer impossibilities are found. Examples: naturalist’s explanation for reason, consciousness, order, intelligence, evil, the beginning of the universe, love, laws of logic, information in DNA, origin of life, and their outlandish conspiracy theories regarding the historicity of Jesus Christ and the historical evidence for the resurrection of Christ.

When you investigate the Christian worldview, however, any discrepancies, inconsistencies, or contradictions perceived are merely superficial; the deeper one digs, the more logic, unity, and coherence is found. Examples: A loving God allowing evil, the Creator of everything not creating evil, etc..—these turn out to be paradoxes, not contradictions.

The Christian worldview has more points of reference (more philosophical, scientific, and historical pieces of truth put together) than any other worldview.  This cumulative case gives our worldview more explanatory power than any other worldview to answer life’s fundamental questions (origin, meaning, morality and destiny) coherently, and consistently.

“For the Christian, joy is central and sorrow is peripheral.  That is because life’s fundamental questions are answered and only the peripheral ones are not.  But for the one who does not know Christ, sorrow is central and joy peripheral, because the peripheral questions may be answered but the fundamental ones are not.” —G.K. Chesterton
